As a Senior Accountant, Joyce Yao is responsible for assisting Waterford’s accounting operations and financial reporting. Prior to joining Waterford, Mrs. Yao was a Financial Analysis Manager at Anthem Inc. During her time there, she worked in the Specialty Accounting department, responsible of financial close process for the Workers’ Compensation division. She was the department lead of various Continuous Improvement projects, automating month-end close processes and improving efficiencies in the Accounting Department. She also worked with external auditors on completing the financial statement audits. Before joining Anthem Inc., she worked on various audit projects for both private and public sectors.
Mrs. Yao earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California and is a Certified Public Accountant. During her free time, Mrs. Yao enjoys volunteering with her family both in the community and at her church. She currently resides in Ladera Ranch, CA, with her husband, Santiago, and their two children.
